Types of bearings
What is a BEARING?
Bearing is a mechanical set that is between two parts that have a comparative rotational motion. In other words, if the machine or device is acquired with a rotor and stator, the distance between the rotor and the stator will create a friction and here we need an intermediary part to form a connection between the rotor and the stator. In addition to decreasing friction, bearings are responsible for bearing axial forces, radial forces, or a mixture of both of them, the name Bearing is derived from this. Generally, bearings can be divided into three categories:
- 1- Sliding bearings
- 2- Rolling bearing
- 3- Plain bearings
