Cumin

Cuminum is an aromatic and anti-bloating seed that is used in cooking and medicine and is available in two types of cuminum cyminum and cuminum (“Carum carvi”), the latter of which is known as “Iranian cumin”.

Its plant is like the carrot plant, its leaves are 20 to 30 cm and the height of the plant is about 50 cm. Its fruit (wrongly called grain) is two millimeters long and crescent-shaped and has 5 outstanding lines. The most cumin in Iran grows in Kerman. The best and finest cumin belongs to Baft city of Kerman province, which grows on its own. It is a kind of Medicinal Plant.
