Fennel

Foeniculum vulgare is a flowering plant of the apiales family Foeniculum from the genus Foeniceae. This plant is rich in compounds similar to the female hormone estrogen (phytoestrogen). Fennel is native to southwestern Asia and southern Europe, especially the Mediterranean part. 

Fennel is a fragrant plant, its leaves are thin and cotton like dill, and yellow fennel flowers appear as clusters at the end of the stem and can be seen in both wild and agronomic forms in Iran.
