Ferula assa-foetida
The Ferula assa-foetida is a resinous that comes from blades of the root or stem of the Ferula assa-foetida plant and its drying in the air’s vicinity. The fermented odor has a very pungent odor if it is called stinky gum, but when cooking it disappears and resembles the smell of onions. In fact, Ferula assa-foetida is eaten as an alternative to onions and garlic.
